-Bronze Award Best Cinematography at Queen Palm International Film Festival with Do Not Sing To Me, My Beauty- 2018
Once in the field I spend a few solid years working as a lighting technician in the Dutch motion picture industry.
Learning how to build up your set from the bottom and keep it flowing with safety, teamwork, the schedule, logistics,
the cast&crews mood and the artistic and storytelling contribution in mind. Those last points are the one's you
start out with but as you go you learn that there is so much to hold in respect once governing a filmset.
As a cameraman I have shot so much television items that I have lost count. For a few television programs I have
shot the leaders.
As a cinematographer I've shot some real good documentaries of which some I directed myself too. The short
documentary Umri's War Band Aid is still one of my favourites. This goes for some music videos I shot as well.
Still one of my best experiences was shooting the clip with Bruce Engler in New York City. A real guerrilla project
but as you might know, New York is just made for shooting fantastic productions. I love that city.
As a filmmaker I have helped numerous companies with creating video content for their marketing
and communication needs.
As a DP or Director of Photography I have shot few short drama productions. With the years I will work
to ad beautiful short story's to the list and eventually my first feature.
Not without gratitude I must have at least met a thousand people during jobs in my work.
For as far as I can recall my shoots have brought me to places like Tokio, Curacao, New York, Berlin,
Kuwait, Spain, London, yeah even Belgium haha. The list goes on.
Each day of shooting adds to a wonderfull collage and cocktail of my memory, personality and skill.

If it wouldn't be for my obsession with cinematography I might have pursued a carrier as a professional athlete.. if I could, haha.
But I do love sports and a healthy lifestyle. Currently I'm totally into running. 5K to marathon runs.
You might be a runner too, if so consider the Strava app and share your runs with me.
My current running PR's are:
• 5K 19:13
• 10K 39:36
• Half Marathon 21,1K 1:31:59
• Marathon 42,195K 3:29:30
Besides being a sportsman I posses a friendly character. I believe in the great importance of the mental mood
and the well being of relations in any field of our work. Whether it's the director working with the actors or the gaffer
instructing the electricians, if the mood is good all work is done better.
That's why a good personality is so important in the people I like or choose to work with. It doesn't mean
I can't be tired and a little grumpy, our work can be tiresome. But I know what's important.
